Ahmed Eman Zakaria is a podcast producer, journalist, researcher, and filmmaker with over 13 years of extensive experience in the media realm.
Ahmed joined Sowt in 2022 as a Senior Producer. He works as a producer, editor, and writer on various shows, including “Adventures at the Museum”, “1001 Nights”, and other shows.
Prior to his tenure at Sowt, Ahmed's career path intertwined with diverse experiences. He was a lecturer at Misr International University(MIU). Additionally, he served as a freelance journalist for VICE Arabia, focusing on journalistic work related to culture and documentary production.
At Dawar for Arts and Development, Ahmed played a pivotal role in developing and implementing effective communication strategies tailored to target audiences. His contributions extended further as he assumed the roles of Content and Press Officer and Arabic Language Editor at the Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival(D-CAF), where he not only curated content but also bridged language barriers by translating festival materials from Engilsh into Arabic.
Additionally, he was a volunteer at the Rural Development Agency, helping the Agency team create visual content for the activities they conducted. His journalistic flair found a platform on "Cinema.com," where he edited news about cinema in Egypt and worldwide and penned critical articles about movies.
Ahmed holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences at Cairo University. He furthered his studies with a Master of Arts in Culture, Media and Society from Lancaster University, UK. In addition, Ahmed obtained a Diploma in Cultural Development from Cairo University.
