Caroline Faraj

Dr. Caroline Faraj is a distinguished Jordanian journalist who has extensive experience of over 30 years.

Caroline Faraj's journey began at Al Rai newspaper, where she found mentorship and a platform to launch her career into the limelight. After 16 years of journalistic excellence in Jordan, she embarked on a transformative journey that led her to London for further studies, and eventually to Dubai, which she now calls home. In Dubai, she assumed the role of Deputy Editor-in-Chief at CNN Arabic, overseeing and enriching the Arabic-language content.

Beyond her journalistic endeavors, Caroline Faraj assumes active roles on the board of directors of the Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Foundation and serves on the advisory boards of esteemed institutions such as the City University of London, Zayed University in Dubai, the American University of Sharjah, and the University of Wollongong in Dubai. She lends her expertise to judging panels, including those of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Awards (Emmy Awards) and Hult Prize.

Her contributions have not gone unnoticed as she garnered accolades, including the Arab Woman Award for Media in the United Arab Emirates and the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence.

Born in Amman, Dr. Caroline Faraj holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, a Master’s Degree in International Journalism, and an Honorary Doctorate in Science from the City University of London.
