Born in 1975 in Giza Governorate and raised in a family steeped in artistic tradition, Karim Abdelaziz is renowned as both a film actor and director. With a father, Mohamed Abdelaziz, and an uncle, Omar Abdelaziz, deeply entrenched in the directorial realm, his lineage ignited his passion for acting from an early age. Enrolling in Higher Institute of Cinema in 1994, he initially embarked on his journey as an assistant director before venturing into acting under the tutelage of Director Sherif Arafa. His debut in "Emraa Men Zaman El-Hob (A Woman from a Time of Love)," series marked the beginning of a captivating career. The true turning point came with the movie " Leh Khalletny Ahebak (Why Did You Make Me Fall for You?)," where he clinched the lead role and shared the silver screen with Mona Zaki and Hala Shiha.
Abdelaziz swiftly rose to prominence, solidifying his stature in the artistic domain with remarkable performances. Offers poured in and directors and production companies vied for his collaboration. His ascent to stardom was propelled by a string of successes at the box office, including "Thieves in Thailand" and "The Student Cop." His repertoire expanded to encompass notable works like "Abu Ali," "Wahed Men El Nas (One of the People)," "Blue Elephant," the series "El Zebaq," "Beit Al-Ruby," and "Al-Hashashin," which marked his return to competitive Ramadan race of 2024. Additionally, he has been featured in numerous other series and films.
Throughout his career, Abdul Aziz garnered several accolades, including the Best Dramatic Actor Award at the Arab Radio and Television Network celebration, the Artistic Excellence Award from the Alexandria Film Festival, and the Faten Hamama Award for Excellence at the Cairo International Film Festival. Notably, he clinched the Favorite Actor Award in the Cinema category for his portrayal in the "Beit Al-Ruby" film in 2024.
